Railway Inn: London Road, Lindal
01229 - 462889
Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) Pub of the Season, Winter 2006-2007
The Railway Inn at Lindal is located off the main road through Lindal and sits in the middle of a row of terraced houses.
The pub bar is in front of you as you enter through the main door and there is a small seating area to the right and the main room to the left.
The pub has a nice open feel to it and you can go out to a patio and beer garden from the main room. The food is freshly cooked and excellent. We
had three meals of fish and chips, Sunday roast and gammon with double egg and chips. Each meal was well presented on a large square plate with the
fish and gammon meals the chips were to die for, large chunky and fresh. A good selection of side salad finished the meals of to perfection.
This is a pub that comes highly recommended and I would strongly advise that you
phone up and book as it is not the biggest pub in the world. The bar offers a fine selection of real ales and is friendly and welcoming.
