Rembrandt Square is located in the Rembrandtplein area of the city and a ten minute walk from Dam square. It is surrounded by cafes and bars with there
café terraces that are popular in the summer months. Two of my favourite bars of the square are the Three Sisters and the Old Bell.
The square itself is named after the world famous painter and his statue has pride of place. Since I was last there the night watch statues have been
removed and the square given a face lift. I spent New Years eve at the square and it had an excellent atmosphere without the crowds of Dam square.
The Old Bell
The Old Bell located on the corner of Rembrandt Square is a fine place for lunch while on your travels. A bowl of homemade soup costs 5e and a pint of
beer 5e. Very helpful and pleasant staff who always serve with a smile.
